Su Coinmarketcap si evince che Fantom (FTM) è salito del 16.78% a $0.42 nelle ultime 24 ore, risultando una delle coin più performanti.
Questo risultato può dipendere soprattutto dall’indiscrezione secondo cui Andre Cronje, ex sviluppatore e creatore di Yearn Finance, stia per ritornare a Fantom.
Quando Cronje, insieme all’altro sviluppatore Anton Nell, ha lasciato inaspettatamente il progetto a marzo scorso, FTM è crollato, così come il TVL, valore totale bloccato.
Secondo il giornalista cinese Collin Wu:
“Andre Cronje released the Fantom fUSD optimization proposal. AC address has recently added nearly 100 million FTM, which is considered to be returning to Fantom. FUSD suffered a severe de-pegging, and Fantom TVL also dropped sharply by about 69%.”
La stablecoin di Fantom, fUSD, ha recentemente perso il peg col dollaro: attualmente è quotata $0,68: dovrebbe essere 1.
Ma la Fantom Foundation si è precipitata a marcare la differenza con UST:
“fUSD is not UST. fUSD is an over-collateralized stablecoin (similar to DAI) backed by staked FTM. UST had nothing backing it. Users create fUSD by borrowing against their staked FTM. If the value of the FTM goes below the minimum collateral ratio, then the FTM is progressively auctioned off to users who bid using fUSD (to keep peg). UST had no auctioning process. An in-depth blog post detailing how fUSD functions will be released over the coming weeks”.
