Varie fonti indicano che Google ha stretto una partnership con Dapper Labs. L’annuncio della collaborazione di Google segue la recente partnership di Dapper Labs con Filecoin. Janet Kennedy, vicepresidente di Google Cloud North America, ha spiegato che: “It’s really about helping them with rapid and sustainable growth. Blockchain technology is becoming more and more mainstream. So companies like Dapper need scalable, secure infrastructure to grow their business, and even more importantly, support their networks”.
Dapper Labs è la società che sta dietro a progetti come Cryptokitties, NBA Top Shot e Dapper Wallet. Inoltre, Dapper Labs gestisce anche la blockchain Flow “built for the next generation of apps, games, and the digital assets that power them”. Su Twitter, anche il CEO di Dapper Labs, Roham Gharegozlou, ha confermato la partnership e ha citato alcune statistiche. Eccole:
“In 1 year since #onFlow mainnet: 2.2M unique wallets, less than half from @nbatopshot, 248 mainnet contracts (cf @flowverse_), [and] 18.5M blocks and 49.7M tx. Now with 3000+ new devs building, Google jumps onboard to help scale”.
L’ingresso di Google nello spazio crypto è stato traballante all’inizio. La società ha anche affrontato una class action nel luglio 2020 quando Google, Twitter e Facebook sono stati accusati di aver danneggiato blockchain e società di criptovalute vietandone la pubblicità nel 2018.
L’ultima partnership con Google rafforzerà Dapper Labs poiché il colosso di Mountain View prevede di fornire a Flow infrastrutture e strumenti di scalabilità.
